Basketball Recap: Rayne Falls Short of Wossman in the Playoffs

Rayne and Wossman squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Rayne had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-17 loss at the hands of the Wossman Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while the Wildcats are ranked fourth).

Rayne's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Wossman, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-5.

Rayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wossman, they will square off against Bastrop on Thursday. Wossman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Bastrop likes a good challenge.
