Burley and Mountain Home are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Home took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Burley, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Burley and Canyon Ridge, and Burley kept the tradition alive. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Riverhawks with a sharp 10-3 win on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Riverhawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Mountain Home was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Wood River, falling 18-8. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Orie Rau was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Averie Pierson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Burley pushed their record up to 8-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain Home, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Burley's way against Mountain Home in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Burley made off with a 19-1 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
