After losing to Starr's Mill the last time they met, Veterans decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warhawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 17-14. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Veterans now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Starr's Mill, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Veterans and Starr's Mill will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Warhawks see the field they'll take on Perry at 7:30 p.m. on September 12. As for Starr's Mill, their break will end when they face Luella at 7:30 p.m. on September 12.
