Volleyball Game Preview: Oconee County Warriors vs. Calhoun Yellow Jackets + Official Tickets

The Oconee County Warriors will head out to challenge the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Oconee County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Islands as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Calhoun got the win against Dawson County on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

Calhoun walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-21.

Oconee County better keep an eye on Chloe Edens. She was instrumental in Calhoun's win, getting 14 digs and nine aces.

Calhoun was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matchups.

Oconee County's record now sits at 37-13. As for Calhoun, their record is now 34-9.

Oconee County was able to grind out a solid victory over Calhoun in their previous meeting back in August, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
