Softball Game Preview: Lake Ridge Eagles vs. Creekview Mustangs

The Lake Ridge Eagles will square off against the Creekview Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekview took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lake Ridge, who comes in off a win.

Lake Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Rockwall-Heath by a score of 6-3 on Monday.

Scarlett Poore was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Poore was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Lake Ridge let Ryan Roberts and Lailah Murray run wild. Roberts scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Murray scored a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Roberts has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kylee Gardner, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Creekview came up short against Argyle on Saturday and fell 13-10.

Kaelani Rogers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Lake Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
