Soccer Game Preview: Bennett vs. Weld Central

The Bennett Tigers will square off against the Weld Central Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Weld Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bennett, who comes in off a win.

While Bennett's victory against Jefferson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Saints 3-2. The victory continues a trend for Bennett in their matchups with Jefferson: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Weld Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Eagle Ridge Academy, falling 5-0. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Weld Central it sure didn't stay that way.

Bennett's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Weld Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Bennett was able to grind out a solid victory over Weld Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
