Baseball Recap: Lodi Beats West for Their Third Straight Win

Lodi waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the West Wolfpack. The Flames have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

Landon Beasley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Rylan Takahashi, who scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Santino Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lodi's record now sits at 9-3. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Lodi will have a chance to go back-to-back against West: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
