Baseball Recap: Dayton Bulldogs vs. Plainfield Cardinals        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Oratory Prep, Dayton was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They put the hurt on the Plainfield Cardinals with a sharp  16-7 win. With that  victory, Dayton brought their scoring average up to 8.5  runs per game.
  Brandyn Bernknopf was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances.  Nate Goldman was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 The  win  got Dayton back to even at 2-2. As for Plainfield, their defeat was  their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton will take on Brearley at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Brearley's pitching crew has only allowed three  runs per game  this season, so Dayton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainfield, they will play host again  on Tuesday to welcome Hillside, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.
