Basketball Recap: Miami Comes Up Short

Miami was the 59-38 winner over Fort Elliott when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Miami Warriors took a blow against the Fort Elliott Cougars on Friday, falling 64-36. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Miami lost, don't look at Breken Early. Despite the final result, he posted seven points along with nine boards and four steals. Early has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Landry Dukes was another key player, putting up seven points and six boards.

Miami's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Fort Elliott, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Miami will host Kelton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Elliott, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fort Elliott Cougars take on the Follett Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
