Veterans Memorial had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Jefferson Mustangs by a score of 54-52 on Saturday. The dominant performance also gave Jordan a new career-high in threes (five). Another player making a difference was Cj Shanklin, who earned four points in addition to six rebounds.
Trey Perez went supernova for Jefferson, going 9 for 19 en route to 27 points plus eight rebounds. Nico Vela was another key player, scoring nine points.
