Basketball Recap: Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Has No Trouble Against Wilcox-Hildreth

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since January 7th (when they won 56-26). They blew past the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons 60-35. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Preston Beattie went supernova, shooting 61% from the field to rack up 22 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January. Chance Daake was another key player, putting up five points along with five assists and five blocks.

Despite the loss, Wilcox-Hildreth still got an impressive performance from Thomas Donley, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 boards. Donley has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Johnson, who scored seven points and eight boards.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-29 win against Sandhills Valley on the 8th. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they will host Alma at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
