Groton is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Northwestern Area just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. While Groton ultimately came up short, they really made Northwestern Area work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 26-24.

One reason for the win was Redfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.
Groton's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Redfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.
