Baseball Game Preview: Linfield Christian Lions vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles

The Linfield Christian Lions will face off against the Arrowhead Christian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Linfield Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

While Linfield Christian's victory against Ontario Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Knights 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since March 18th.

Noah Getz tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Linfield Christian's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kai Carson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits Carson has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Arrowhead Christian duked it out with Aquinas on Thursday. The Eagles lost 13-3 to the Falcons. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Arrowhead Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-5-1.
