Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Cavaliers vs. Hamlin Chargers

The St. Thomas More Cavaliers will face off against the Hamlin Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with St. Thomas More sitting on seven straight wins and Hamlin on ten.

St. Thomas More is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Mahpiya Luta on Tuesday as St. Thomas More made off with a 76-51 victory. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Crusaders are ranked 73rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Hamlin against Deuel on Thursday as the squad secured a 71-24 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Hamlin pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for St. Thomas More, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
