Soccer Recap: Doral Academy Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lourdes Academy, Doral Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the St. Brendan Sabres 3-2. Given the Firebirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Sabres are ranked 194th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hailey Obando and Sophia Vega scored all three of Doral Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Doral Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-2 record this season. As for St. Brendan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7-1.

As of now, neither Doral Academy nor St. Brendan have any future games scheduled.
