Basketball Recap: Dollar Bay Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

If Watersmeet wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Dollar Bay, they should've done a better job of containing Evelyn Moilanen. The Dollar Bay Bays blew past the Watersmeet Nimrods, posting a 71-25 win thanks in part to Moilanen, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

With the victory, Dollar Bay broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Watersmeet, their defeat was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Dollar Bay will host Johnston at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dollar Bay is facing Johnston at the right time seeing as Johnston is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Watersmeet, they will head out to face off against Baraga at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
