Baseball Recap: Aquinas Academy Comes Up Short

The Aquinas Academy Crusaders didn't have quite enough to beat the Rochester Rams on Monday and fell 3-2. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tim Crawford was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

At the plate, Aquinas Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Richthammer, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Aquinas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Rochester, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

While Aquinas Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
