Softball Recap: Gateway Regional Takes a Loss

Gateway Regional fell victim to Collingswood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 7-0 to the Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Gators in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Gateway Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sofia Lezotte, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Gateway Regional's record now sits at 0-5. As for Collingswood, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway Regional will venture away from home to square off against Paulsboro at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Collingswood, they will head out to take on Lindenwold at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
