Baseball Preview: St. John-Vianney Lancers vs. Neptune Scarlet Fliers
For the second straight game, St. John-Vianney will face off against Neptune. The Lancers will host the Scarlet Fliers at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
St. John-Vianney barely beat Neptune the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lancers put the hurt on the Scarlet Fliers with a sharp 9-3 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Scarlet Fliers: they've now won four in a row.
Matt Baczor looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
