It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Union Grove had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cambridge Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Wolverines as they're now sitting on three straight.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.
Kylee Evans paced Union Grove's offense, picking up 17 kills. Evans got some help from Sadie Peterson and her 36 assists. McKenzie Burrell controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Union Grove's win bumped their record up to 33-7-1. As for Cambridge, they dropped their record down to 12-22 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Looking ahead, Union Grove will square off against Starr's Mill on Saturday. Cambridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
