Softball Recap: Satellite Extends Winning Streak to Six

Satellite proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the King's Academy Lions 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Scorpions sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Abigal Scaglione, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Elysse Fredenburg, who scored two runs and stole Two bases.

Satellite hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in seven consecutive games.

Satellite's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Satellite didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Miami Christian on the 14th. As for King's Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Lourdes Academy at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. King's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.4 runs per game this season.
