Volleyball Recap: Green Run's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Green Run had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Cox Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Stallions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Green Run never let Cox on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.

Braven Jackson paced Green Run's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jackson got some help from Max Wasserzug and his 18 assists. Finally, Jackson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Green Run's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Cox, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Green Run has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Kempsville on the 5th. Cox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
