The Antonian Prep Apaches will challenge the Devine Warhorses at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Devine will be up against a hot Antonian Prep team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 14. The Apaches blew past TMI-Episcopal 18-2 on Friday.
Analisa Guerrero made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Arianna Medina was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Isabella Garza was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.
Antonian Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Devine came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Eagles.
Tucker Traylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Devine got a big performance out of Maddy Hester, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Yaya Rodriguez, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Antonian Prep pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Devine, their record is now 20-4.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Antonian Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .437. However, it's not like Devine struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Antonian Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Devine in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 6-3. Will the Apaches repeat their success, or do the Warhorses have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
