Baseball Recap: R.A. Long Takes a Loss

If R.A. Long was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Woodland on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lumberjacks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgefield Spudders on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lumberjacks in their meetings with the Spudders: they've now lost nine in a row.

R.A. Long's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Ridgefield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

While R.A. Long had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
