George Rogers Clark typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Tates Creek proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Cardinals. The Commodores haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Alexis Sempsrott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. Sempsrott was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexis Bazzell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kylie Howell, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Tates Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for George Rogers Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will face off against Pike County Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Commodores surely won't give up without a fight. As for George Rogers Clark, they will square off against Bourbon County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
