Volleyball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

Cassville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the MFL MarMac Bulldogs.

Abril Giral paced Cassville's offense, picking up seven kills. Giral got some help from Jocelyn Adrian and her 23 assists. Adrian also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jacie Mergen, racking up four apiece.

Cassville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for MFL MarMac, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Coincidentally, Cassville and MFL MarMac will both be playing Westby the next time they take the court. The Comets will head out to face the Norsemen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
