Baseball Recap: Denver Christian Thunder vs. Monte Vista Pirates

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Denver Christian had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Monte Vista Pirates. Winning may never get old, but Denver Christian sure is getting used to it with their 16th in a row.

Mason Reilly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered one run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Brayden Epperhart was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Buehrer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
