Volleyball Recap: West Franklin Falcons vs. Osage City Indians
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times West Franklin and Osage City have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Indians. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
While West Franklin ultimately came up short, they really made Osage City work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18.
Zoe Dowd paced West Franklin's offense, picking up eight kills. Dowd got some help from Teegan McArthur and her eight assists. Finally, Dowd was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
