Basketball Recap: Kimberly's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Kimberly hadn't done well against Snake River recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Kimberly Bulldogs took down the Snake River Panthers 60-44. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Brooklyn Verwey was a one-woman wrecking crew for Kimberly as she went 14 of 28 en route to 31 points along with seven boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hope Ward, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Kimberly's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7. As for Snake River, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kimberly will venture away from home to face off against Gooding at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gooding will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kimberly surely won't give up without a fight. As for Snake River, they will challenge Bear Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
