Volleyball Recap: Sarcoxie Takes a Loss

After flying high against Seneca on Tuesday, Sarcoxie came back down to earth. The Bears came up short against the Diamond Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered against the Wildcats since September 21, 2023.

Sarcoxie was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Diamond work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-10.

Alexis Letts paced Sarcoxie's offense, picking up nine kills. Letts got some help from Jordyn Misner and her 16 assists.

Sarcoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10-3. As for Diamond, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Sarcoxie will square off against Skyline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Diamond, they will venture away from home to face off against Joplin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
