Highland Park snaps seven-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Highland Park Scots vs. Eudora Cardinals

After a string of four wins, the Highland Park Scots's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eudora. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Highland Park has scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Highland Park saw an underclassman step up: Pearmella Carter scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. De'asia Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.

Highland Park's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-1. As for Eudora, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Highland Park will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence Free State at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence Free State has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Eudora, they will be playing at home against Ottawa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
