Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Zephyrhills). They were the clear victors by a 31-1 margin over the Tenoroc Titans on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Nicholas Purcell and Colin O'Malley made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Purcell pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, O'Malley struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Zephyrhills is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 2-12 otherwise. At the plate, Purcell scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while O'Malley went 4-for-5 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave Purcell a new career-high.

In other batting news, Zephyrhills got a massive performance out of Traiten Costello, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with eight RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, Costello posted three hits, the most he's had since back in February. J. T. Dobbins was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

Zephyrhills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .686. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

With the win, Zephyrhills broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Tenoroc, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
