League recap: Archbishop Shaw surprises O. Perry Walker

Archbishop Shaw scored a stunning upset when it knocked off O. Perry Walker, 24-20. At the time, the Chargers were ranked seventh in the state, while the Eagles were 107th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to O. Perry Walker, who took down seventh ranked O. Perry Walker, 24-20.

Karr's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kerry Taylor has thrown for 53 yards this season, while Devante Noil has one catch for 29 yards. Noil leads the league in rushing with 236 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Karr and Emanuel Powell's team. The Cougars enters the contest ranked fifth in the state, while the Chargers ranks 17th.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Karr takes on O. Perry Walker. Jabbar Juluke's team has allowed 51 points this season, while the Chargers have given up 54. The Cougars allowed 8 points last week as they topped McDonogh 35.

Archbishop Shaw moved up to 72 from 107 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Scott Bairnsfather's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping O. Perry Walker 24-20.
