Abington Friends waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the George School Cougars. Abington Friends might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

Loren Koenig made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Koenig was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Jarius Ford was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Max Cassano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Abington Friends pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for George School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.
