Maranacook entered their tilt with Mount Abram on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   5-4 W against the Roadrunners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Black Bears also won the last time the pair played  back in June of 2022.
 Grady Hreben was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   four  hits. Hreben was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Noah Longfellow was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Walker Dumas also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Maranacook's win was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 9-5. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mount Abram, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
 Coincidentally, Maranacook and Mount Abram will both be playing Lisbon the next time they take the field. The Black Bears will head out to face the Greyhounds at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Roadrunners will head out to face them  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
