Baseball Recap: Luverne Takes a Loss

Luverne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the New Brockton Gamecocks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gamecocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 two weeks ago.

Luverne's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for New Brockton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for New Brockton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside Methodist Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. New Brockton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
