Football Recap: A.C. Reynolds Comes Up Short + How To Watch

A.C. Reynolds came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Jay M. Robinson Bulldogs and fell 49-21. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

When it comes to explaining why A.C. Reynolds lost, don't look at Kolton Rymer. Despite the final result, he picked up 120 receiving yards, and also threw for 120 yards and one touchdown.

A.C. Reynolds didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Zion Ikeme.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jay M. Robinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lj Watson, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn McElroy, who picked up 104 receiving yards and two TDs.

A.C. Reynolds' loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2. As for Jay M. Robinson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A.C. Reynolds will welcome Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jay M. Robinson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against East Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The game will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
