Baseball Recap: Panther Creek Takes a Loss

Panther Creek saw some tournament action on Saturday. They lost 21-2 to the J.H. Rose Rampants. The Catamounts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Justin Nichols made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Panther Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for J.H. Rose, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Panther Creek will head out to take on Middle Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Catamounts surely won't give up without a fight. As for J.H. Rose, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Northern Nash on the 19th.
