Basketball Recap: Tempe Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Marcos de Niza came into Saturday's game looking for another win against Tempe, but Nassir Cobbs wouldn't allow it. The Tempe Buffaloes enjoyed a cozy 75-60 win over the Marcos de Niza Padres on Saturday thanks in part to Cobbs, who posted 31 points and four steals. The match was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Deryke Tucker, who put up six points and 14 rebounds. Tucker is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Marcos de Niza lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being James Steward, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeidarion Richard, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

Tempe is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
