Basketball Recap: Brookwood Takes a Loss

Brookwood lost against Central back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Brookwood Panthers took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Falcons.

Among those leading the charge was Lariah Spencer, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Airre'Ale Norfleet, who went 7 for 11 en route to 16 points.

Brookwood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Central, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 15-10.

Brookwood will face off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central has already played their next contest, a 46-43 win against Hale County on the 24th.
