While Watonga didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Dover Longhorns 9-1 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Watonga has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Dover and nudges their season record down to 6-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watonga will square off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Thomas-Fay-Custer will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Watonga surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dover, they will face off against Garber at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
