Baseball Recap: Slinger Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Slinger couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Owls in their meetings with the Golden Beavers: they've now lost five in a row.

Slinger saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macay Wagner, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Slinger's loss dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Beaver Dam, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6.

Slinger does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beaver Dam, they will venture away from home to face off against Hartford at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Orioles' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Golden Beavers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
