Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Panthers vs. Pueblo Central Wildcats

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Harrison Panthers take on the Pueblo Central Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday... The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Harrison has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Pueblo Central will arrive with five straight victories.

On Thursday, Harrison lost to Widefield on the road by a 54-39 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pueblo Central). They strolled past Pueblo South with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 87-70.

Pueblo Central pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Harrison strolled past Pueblo Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 64-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harrison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
