Softball Recap: Parry McCluer Takes a Loss

Parry McCluer extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-8. They came up short against the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

As for Eastern Montgomery, their record is now 10-5. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Eastern Montgomery's part, Kenzie Dunbar was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI Dunbar has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Akers, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parry McCluer will square off against Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Montgomery, they will challenge Craig County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.78 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
