Football Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oelwein last Friday, Vinton-Shellsburg came back down to earth. The Vikings fell 27-15 to the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines on Friday.

Vinton-Shellsburg now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Dike-New Hartford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Vinton-Shellsburg will take on rival Denver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dike-New Hartford is set to challenge their familiar foe Hampton-Dumont/CAL at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
