Soccer Game Preview: Oswego East vs. Batavia

The Oswego East Wolves will head out to challenge the Batavia Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Batavia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Oswego East, who comes in off a win.

Oswego East will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal last Monday, then bounced right back against Amundsen on Saturday. Oswego East was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Amundsen.

Oswego East hit Amundsen with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mckenzie Coleman (2), Gabby McPhee, Rachel Kangas, and Olivia Hamilton.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Batavia was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Naperville North by a score of 2-1.

Batavia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oswego East, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Oswego East was able to grind out a solid win over Batavia in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 2-0. Will Oswego East repeat their success, or does Batavia has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
