Soccer Recap: Sparta Comes Up Short

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Lowell Red Arrows. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lowell this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in April.

Sparta's record is now 3-13. As for Lowell, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta will face off against Ottawa Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparta will be up against Ottawa Hills' rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.61 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lowell, they will square off against Cedar Springs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
