            Softball Recap: Greenville Yellow Jackets vs. Lakeview Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            While Greenville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with  a   7-2  win over the Lakeview Wildcats  on Friday. The  victory was familiar territory for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won three  matchups in a row.
 Emily Rice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Drew Galey and  Cam Klco did most of the damage at the plate:  Galey  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while  Klco  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI. Klco is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played.  Aubrie Uebele was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.

Greenville's win was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.3 runs. As for Lakeview,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Greenville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
