Basketball Recap: Madison Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Madison waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Edgewood Warriors by a score of 59-47. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-52 back in December of 2024.

Madison's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mac Steele, who went 8 for 19 en route to 26 points along with five boards and four steals. The game was Steele's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Parker Williams, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

Madison pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Edgewood, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Madison has already played their next contest (against Wickliffe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Edgewood will square off against Harvey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvey has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
