Baseball Recap: Capital's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Capital came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Borah Lions by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on April 3rd.

Cooper Myers made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Myers was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brady Ruzicka was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Capital was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Capital's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Borah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.

Capital will square off against Ridgevue at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Borah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
